Automated trash pickup comes to Northeast side of town. Wow, have you seen the size of the new cans? It would take our household 2.5 to 3 months to fill one of these cans. As I have stated previously we have one bag (like they give out at the grocery store) of garbage a week; the rest we recycle. I agree with the can for recycling being large but I think the other can encourages people not to take recycling seriously.
I think Austin has the right idea with cans of different sizes and charging accordingly. I believe if people see they can save some money by recycling they will make more of an effort to do it. We also get an added bonus of doing less harm to our environment.
